Founded in 1985 in Orbetello, in collaboration with the Koiné School of Florence, Terramare, for many years worked in partnership with The University for foreigners of Siena, where teachers achieve DITALS Ceritification, a guarantee of Competence in teaching Italian language to foreigners, recognized by MIUR.
Our school is run by a co-operative of highly qualified teachers with many years of experience in teaching Italian as a foreign language. Over the years they have built up their know-how in intercultural communication. We offer a unique opportunity for those who want to learn a language, and also want practice using it in active everyday situations.
2 afternoons a week we organise cultural activities on a variety of subjects (Italian songs, cinema, history, art and literature etc.) and once a week there are trips to the local nature reserves and parks, to the islands of the Tuscan coast, archaeological sites and old medieval town centres.
A 2-week mini group course of Italian Language and Culture includes 40 hours of language instruction plus afternoon activities and excursions. Fees include also accommodation reservation service, teaching material, certificate of attendance and VAT.
You find our school at the seaside in Orbetello on the southernmost strip of the Tuscany's Maremma. Our town is in the centre of a splendid coastal lagoon around which the land and the sea meet and separate and join up again. Beyond the town of Orbetello lies the Argentario Promontory linked to the Tuscan coastline by 2 strips of sand dunes. Nearby are the islands of the archipelago and the Maremma National Park.
Orbetello also offers a very central location for those wishing to visit the art cities of Tuscany and Lazio: Florence, Siena, Pisa, Viterbo, Rome, Bolsena, Tarquinia...and still more.
Our courses also take place in Oristano (historic town located along the western coast of Sardinia) and throughout the marvelously well preserved inland territories and coastal areas.
